Job Description
As a Procurement Manager you will have an exciting and challenging position with significant responsibilities. You will end up in a diverse international team (Belgium, Romania, Bangladesh, China). You provide valuable support for tender projects by purchasing materials on time and under the best conditions, taking into account the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). You are actively involved in the sourcing of new high-tech materials around the world and manage the library of all fabrics and accessories used or sourced by the Seyntex group. Depending on your projects, you source trims and fabrics based on technical requirements drawn up by our customers or by our internal stakeholders. You set up communication with various suppliers, collect all proposals and map them. Based on the bill of materials, you calculate the cost price of the items in your assigned projects. Occasional trips to suppliers and fairs are also part of the duties. You report directly to the procurement manager and ensure smooth communication within the team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor level of thinking and first relevant experience in purchasing in an international product environment
- Knowledge and/or affinity with the textile sector is a plus
- Good knowledge of MS Office, experience in Sap is an asset
- You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch and speak/write English and French well. Knowledge of German is a plus;
- You have commercial reflexes and negotiation skills that allow you to respond alertly to changing situations;
- You have strong analytical and administrative skills and are very good communicators;
- You are a born negotiator with a commercial drive;
- You are independent, assertive and stress-resistant and do not allow yourself to be thrown off balance by short deadlines or changed priorities;
- You have basic knowledge of import and export;
- You strive for continuous improvement;
- The ability to understand and evaluate the technical specifications of materials.
